Terms of service
The agreement for using this service, in plain language.
What the service does
MyBankStatementConverter reads a PDF bank statement you upload and produces a CSV or Excel file containing the transaction table it found. It is a conversion tool. It does not give financial, accounting, tax or legal advice.
Accuracy, and why you must check the output
We transcribe what is printed on the page and never recalculate figures. Even so, statement layouts vary and extraction can be imperfect — a column may be misread, or a row from an unfamiliar layout may land in the wrong place. Where we do not fully recognise a layout we say so and flag the result for review.
You are responsible for checking converted data before relying on it — particularly for accounting, tax, audit or loan purposes. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses arising from errors in converted output. Your original statement remains the authoritative record.
Acceptable use
Only upload statements you own or are authorised to process. Do not use the service to process documents obtained unlawfully, do not attempt to circumvent the usage limits or disrupt the service, and do not upload anything intended to attack it.
Plans and limits
Without an account you may convert once every 24 hours, covering the first 3 pages of a statement. With a free account the allowance is 5 pages every 24 hours, with batch upload and saved history. Paid plans raise that to a set number of pages per billing period — see the pricing page for current plans and prices.
An allowance is a limit, not a starting point. When you reach it, conversions stop until it resets — we never bill you for going over. Unused pages do not carry over to the next period, and failed conversions do not count against your allowance. Files are limited to 20 MB, and PDFs must contain a real text layer — scans are not supported. We may change these limits, and we may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Payment and expiry
You are charged in US dollars. The amount is shown on the payment page before you confirm, and it is what will appear on your statement. Prices shown in rupiah are an approximate guide only, not the amount charged.
A paid plan is a single purchase covering a fixed period — 30 days, or one year bought at once. It does not renew automatically, so there is no subscription to cancel and nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy. To carry on after your period ends, buy again from the pricing page. Buying while a period is still running starts a fresh period and replaces whatever is left of the current one rather than adding to it. On a yearly purchase the page allowance resets every 30 days and unused pages do not carry over.
We will email you before your period ends. When a period expires your account returns to the free plan automatically — your account, converted files and history are unaffected, and only the page allowance changes.
Refunds
Payments are not refundable. The free plan is there so you never have to buy in order to find out whether this works for you: it converts the same banks and produces the same output as a paid plan, just fewer pages. Try it on your own statements first, and only pay once you know it does what you need.
A purchase runs its full period once made, and letting it expire does not return money already paid. Because nothing renews, there are no future charges to stop. Nothing in this section affects rights you may have under the consumer law of your country.
Data handling
How long we keep files, what we never store, and the 30-day retention of unrecognised layouts kept as parser samples are all set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Availability and changes
The service is offered without an uptime guarantee and may be unavailable for maintenance. We may update these terms; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated version.
